The Global Network for Africa’s Prosperity (GNAP)
Magatte Wade launched her career recruiting finance professionals for Silicon Valley start-ups in the 1990s. She then launched Adina World Beverages based on indigenous Senegalese recipes. After raising US$ 7 million, she created a national distribution network that included Whole Foods Market, Wegmans and United Natural Foods. In 2009, after raising VC funding, Wade left Adina to focus on Tiossan, a skin care products company where ancient Senegalese recipes meet California Green Chemistry and the French Art of Perfume. Tiossan products are available at www.tiossan.com, at Harmony Health and Beauty stores and a flagship store in Hudson, NY. Wade writes for the Huffington Post and Barron's, and speaks at colleges and international conferences on branding and marketing. She serves on the boards of SEEDS Academy and Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products (ASNAPP).
